 The "Hilly Hundred" billed as "The Toughest Century Ride in Ontario" is so much more than a great ride.  Riders weave their way through the hills and valleys of the Ca...nadian Shield, the terrain is a mix of country roads, "breathtaking" hills carved through ancient granite bedrock, beautiful lakes and colourful hardwood forests.  Six distances await riders from 38 kms to 244 kms. with total elevation gains of 2,740 meters.  The courses are aggressive, relentless and challenge the most experienced riders.  It's tough so we spoil riders, included in riders fees is a pancake breakfast, mandatory pre ride meeting, eight fully supported checkpoints with snacks, lunch, radio communication to base in Bancroft, emergency support vehicles equipped with paramedic and mechanic, tools and snacks. Plate check at each checkpoint ensures organizers know where every rider is on the course.  Support vehicle escorts the last riders back to base.  BBQ follows completion of the "Tour". more
